terms and conditions
these terms cover everything sold on book.divvsaxena.com: the pdf "nobody paid me a single dollar" and the sponsor spots on this page. by buying either, you agree to them. if you do not agree, do not buy.
1. who you are dealing with
this site is run by divv saxena, an individual operating from india ("i", "me", "we"). payments are collected by dodo payments, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase on this site. dodo handles the card, the tax on the invoice and the receipt. i handle the product.
2. the book
the book is a digital pdf. the price is shown on the page in us dollars before you pay. after dodo confirms your payment, the file is sent to the email address you gave at checkout. if it has not arrived within a few minutes, check spam, then reply to the dodo receipt or email divv@divvsaxena.com and i will send it again.
3. no refunds
the book is a digital product that is delivered instantly and cannot be returned, so all sales are final and there are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations once the file has been sent. this does not affect any right you have under the laws of india that cannot be excluded. if the file is defective or never arrives, i will fix that by sending a working copy.
opening a chargeback instead of writing to me first is treated as a breach of these terms.
4. ownership and licence
the book, its text, diagrams, cover, title and everything else in it are the copyright of divv saxena. all rights are reserved. buying the book gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read it on your own devices. you may not copy, share, resell, redistribute, publish, post, translate, or use it to train any machine learning or ai system, in whole or in part, without my written permission. quoting short passages with credit is fine.
5. sponsor spots
the four spots under the book cover are logo-and-link placements sold to businesses and individuals for a fixed fee and a fixed term, both shown on the page before you pay. the spot goes live as soon as dodo confirms your payment and expires automatically at the end of the term. it is a one-time payment with no automatic renewal.
- sponsor fees are not refundable once the spot is live. the one exception is a race: if two people pay for the same spot at the same time, the later payment is refunded automatically.
- you confirm you own or have permission to use the logo, name and link you submit, and that the linked site is lawful.
- i may remove or refuse any placement that is illegal, misleading, adult, hateful, harmful, or that i simply do not want next to my book. if i remove a placement for one of these reasons, no refund is due.
- a spot buys space, not results. views, clicks, sales and traffic are not guaranteed.
- the link is marked as sponsored, and a small referral tag is added to it.
- the return page after payment is the only way to edit a spot. keep that link private.
6. what the book is not
the book is the story of one launch, with the numbers as they happened. it is not financial, legal, tax or business advice, and your results will be different. use your own judgement.
7. liability
to the fullest extent permitted by law, my total liability to you for anything arising from this site or a purchase on it is limited to the amount you paid me for that purchase. i am not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the laws of india.
8. the site
the site is provided as is. i may change, pause or take it down at any time. i try to keep it online but do not promise uninterrupted access.
9. governing law and disputes
these terms and every purchase made under them are governed by the laws of india, including the indian contract act, 1872, the information technology act, 2000 and the consumer protection act, 2019 where they apply. any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in india. if you have a problem, write to me first at divv@divvsaxena.com and i will do my best to sort it out directly.
10. changes
i may update these terms. the date at the top tells you when. the version in force when you paid applies to that purchase.
