privacy policy
this is a small site run by one person, divv saxena, from india. it collects as little as it can. here is exactly what that is.
1. what is collected
- buying the book. checkout happens on dodo payments. dodo collects your name, email address, billing country and card details and sends me your name, email and the fact that you paid. i never see your card number. dodo's own privacy policy applies to what they collect.
- buying a sponsor spot. the brand name, website link and logo you submit, plus the email address dodo passes on with the payment. the brand name, link and logo are published on this page for the length of the spot. the logo may be fetched from your website or uploaded by you.
- visiting the site. datafast counts page views, visitors, countries and clicks on the buy and sponsor buttons in its cookieless mode: no cookies, just an anonymous hash of your ip address and browser that changes every day and cannot identify you. the site shows aggregate visitor numbers publicly. cloudflare, which runs the site, keeps ordinary request logs, including ip addresses, for security and debugging.

there are no advertising trackers, no tracking cookies and no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
2. what it is used for
delivering the book, publishing and managing sponsor spots, answering your emails, keeping the site running and safe, and understanding roughly how many people visit. that is all. your email is not added to any newsletter unless you sign up for one separately.
3. where it is stored
purchase records live with dodo payments. sponsor records and logos live in cloudflare's d1 database and r2 storage. analytics live with datafast. these providers run servers outside india, including in the united states and europe, so your data may be transferred and stored there. each of them is bound by its own privacy terms and security commitments.
4. sharing
i do not sell, rent or trade your information. it is shared only with the providers named above so the site can work, and with authorities if the law requires it.
5. how long it is kept
purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules in india require. sponsor records are kept after the spot expires so i can answer questions and prevent abuse, and the published logo and link come down automatically when the spot ends. analytics are aggregated and keep no personal data. emails are kept until they are no longer needed.
6. your rights
you can ask what i hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, subject to records i am legally required to keep. email divv@divvsaxena.com and i will reply within a reasonable time. if you are in india, the digital personal data protection act, 2023 gives you these rights and this is the address for exercising them. if you are elsewhere, i will honour the equivalent rights under your local law as far as i reasonably can.
7. children
the site is not aimed at children under 18 and i do not knowingly collect their data. if you think a child has bought something here, write to me and i will remove the record.
8. governing law
this policy is governed by the laws of india, including the information technology act, 2000 and the digital personal data protection act, 2023, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in india.
9. changes
if this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. material changes will be noted on this page.
